# CareerTrackers

> CareerTrackers is a national Australian non-profit that helps Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university students build professional careers through paid, multi-year internships. It matches pre-professional First Nations students with employer partners and brings the same student back to the same company each year until they graduate, so paid industry experience and mentoring run alongside their studies. Founded in 2009, the program is funded by its employer partners, with support from donations.

- **How it works** — students are placed in multi-year paid internships and return to the same employer each year, with mentoring, leadership development and academic support running throughout their degree
